Welcome to the 15th edition of The Sports Bank’s 2024 NHL Mock Draft. Indeed this is 2024 NHL Mock Draft version 15.0, with the all important and entertaining bits of information that you need to know ahead of draft night. Also, The Sports Bank 2024 MLB Mock Draft can be found here.
The NFL mock is available at this link, while the NBA mock draft can be accessed by clicking here. The Sports Bank is the only independently-owned, mom and pop shop site that does a mock draft for all four North American major sports.
Our content is organically grown, farm-to-table, fresh from Chicagoland! As we do not know the NHL Draft order right now, we decided to go with the same order that Tankathon has.
No potential future trades were taken into account here. The 2024 NHL Draft will be held in Las Vegas on June 28-29. While most NHL mocks do not include player descriptions, we do. This mock draft is listed at Eat, Drink and Sleep Football NHL Mock Draft Database.
Enjoy it everyone!
Past NHL Mock Draft Editions: 2023 2021 2020 2016 2015 2014 2011 2010
1. Chicago Blackhawks, Macklin Celebrini, LW/C/RW, Boston University
Canadian forward is considered to be the hands down top overall prospect in this class, just like Connor Bedard last year. And…what team does Bedard now play for?
Having struck gold last year by winning the lottery and thus the rights to Bedard, now they look to add another major building block, in the same position group.
2. San Jose Sharks, Cole Eiserman, LW, US NTDP
From a Boston University player to a BU commit. Indeed the Terriers = top tier talent.
3. Anaheim Ducks, Ivan Demidov, RW/C, SKA St. Petersburg
An intriguing prospect from “Mother Russia,” he’ll be the first pure scoring winger prospect selected.
4. Columbus Blue Jackets, Artyom Levshunov, D, Michigan State
A 6’2″ 198 lb bruiser who also has finesse, the Belarus native is a classic example of why we have the hash tag #SpartansWill
And of course #GoGreen
to which you say #GoWhite
5. Ottawa Senators, Sam Dickinson, LHD, London
And we have our first blue-liner off the boards!
6. Minnesota Wild, Berkly Catton, LW/C/RW, Spokane
Versatile forward prospect could step in immediately to provide in multiple areas along the front line.
7. Montreal Canadiens, Konsta Helenius, C/RW, Jukurit, Finland
Very tall Russian prospect out of the Liiga.
8. Buffalo Sabres, Anton Silayev, LHD, Nizhny Novogorod
Maybe the best blue-liner prospect out of the KHL this draft.
9. Calgary Flames, Adam Jiricek, D, HC Plzen
At 6’1″ and just 152 lbs, this Czech really needs to beef up, so that he better take and dish out the checks.
10. Arizona Coyotes, Zayne Parekh, D, Saginaw Spirit
Blue chip blue-liner prospect Canadian international who plays for the Saginaw Michigan franchise that’s a part of the Ontario Hockey League.
11. Seattle Kraken, Igor Chernyshov, LW, MHK Dynamo Moskva
Seattle looks to try and add more scoring punch.
12. Nashville Predators, Cayden Lindstrom, LW/C/RW, Medicine Hat
Preds add a Canadian from one of the best named hockey clubs in all the land!
13. New York Islanders, Carter Yakemchuk, D, Calgary
Another key piece at an important position for the Isles, as they look to try and finally get over that next hump.
14. Washington Capitals, Cole Hutson, D, US NTDP
Small but tough and very talented Boston University commit.
15. New Jersey Devils, Henry Mews, D, Ottawa
Excellent right-handed defenseman prospect out of the Ontario Hockey League.
16. San Jose Sharks via Pittsburgh Penguins, Aron Kiviharju, D, HIFK
Very talented, but he is obviously not the finished product. However, he is a Finnish product. Hey hey!
17. St. Louis Blues, Trevor Connelly, LW/C/RW, Tri-City
American forward who signed a letter of intent with Providence
18. Philadelphia Flyers, Michael Hage, C, Chicago Steel
or 2024 NHL Mock Draft Selection (Taylor’s Version)
Grabbing the USHL star and Michigan commit here would be a steal here! Speaking of the Chicago Steel, by the way, did you hear about the Taylor Swift The Eras night that they’re having?
Read about that promotional idea over at this link. Anything Tay-Tay, T-Sizzle related is super huge right now. By the way, did you know that she is a Notre Dame football fan (Selena Gomez too)?
Hage, 18, had a rough first season with the Steel, as he was recovering from a torn labrum. But now the Canadian is finding his form and rocketing up the draft boards.
Hage has gotten better as the season has gone on.
19. Detroit Red Wings, Beckett Sennecke, RW, Oshawa
Solid Canadian prospect from the Ontario Hockey League moves just across the Ambassador Bridge (or Detroit-Windsor Tunnel)
20. L.A. Kings, Zeev Buium, D, Denver
Great value pick here!
21. Chicago via Tampa, Michael Brandsegg-Nygård, RW, Mora IK
Hawks continue to add potential building blocks. They will not be totally awful, someday. Maybe not too far into the future.
22. Toronto Maple Leafs, Ryder Ritchie, LW/C/RW, Prince Albert
Versatile Canadian that needs to add weight, as he’s a bit lanky right now.
23. Carolina Hurricanes, Charlie Elick, D, Brandon
At some point, there will be a run on defensemen…or “defencemen” as they say in Canada.
24. Las Vegas Golden Knights, Maxim Massé, RW, Chicoutimi
Intriguing prospect from the QMJHL.
25. Edmonton Oilers, EJ Emery, D, US NTDP
Here comes that run on blue-liners.
26. Dallas Stars, Tij Iginla, F, Kelowna
One of the best prospects in the WHL
27. Philadelphia via Florida, Emil Hemming, RW, TPS
Flyers look to beef up the attack but adding another prospect to their forward line.
28. Colorado Avalanche, Sacha Boisvert, C, Muskegon
Avs go for the North Dakota commit.
29. New York Rangers, Anthony Cristoforo, D, Windsor
Big Apple selects a top notch prospect at D.
30. Montreal via Winnipeg, Liam Greentree, RW, Windsor
Fun fact: Windsor (from Detroit), is the only place where you go SOUTH when entering Canada from the United States.
31. Ottawa Senators via Boston Bruins, Leo Sahlin, Wallenius, LHD, Vaxjo J20
This the longest draft slot description ever. Great value pick here!
32. Calgary via Vancouver, Nikita Artamonov, RW, Nizhny Novogorod
And with that, the Russian KHL prospect is the final pick in the 2024 NHL Mock Draft. We’ll be back with more player descriptions, and elaborating further on the player descriptions we already have in our next edition of the 2024 NHL Mock Draft.
This mock draft is listed at Eat, Drink and Sleep Football NHL Mock Draft Database.
